Just being nosey really!! What do you guys think my little pony is worth? (She will not be sold ever for any amount of money be it big or small so just say what you think!!)
11 (almost 12) year old registered welsh sec d mare. Just under 14.2hh (has height cert).
Working med / adv. med, competing elem, doing first medium shortly.
Regularly achieved 70% + affiliated P,N & E.
Was placed 4th at National champs @ prelim (69% I think), won Novice area fest (69%), reserve champ Elem music @ H&H winter champs (73%). Has competed in U21's inter regional competition and participates in BYRDS training. Did BYRDS talent spotting and was 2nd (I think) in the regional bit (not sure of details as this was with her loaner).
She is out on loan at the moment and will spend the year doing FEI tests (has done one so far at a premier league and finished 5th - i think). Her rider is 15. She can be a little sharp at times but on the whole is very consistent.
Although she can do everything, I'm not sure I would call her a school mistress as you do have to ride her and I think if she thought she could take the piss, she would! But if you ask corectly, she really does try and is very obidient for all movements.
Now the non dressage bits!!
Hacks out fine (can be a bit spooky at times).
Jumps (has regular jumping lessons for a bit of a break, up to around the 1m mark so far) has done the odd un-aff comp and has done a few local workers.
Has been round xc courses with me and her loaner just for fun - done un-aff ODE's and been round somerford.
I would not say she is mare-ish. I think she is pretty much the same all year round..... a little moody
(Not to ride - she loves working and is always keen when ridden, just in the stable and not nasty or anything like that, just keeps herself to herself some of the time).
Very easy to do in stable. Travels well, good to shoe, catch etc etc.
Not great with vet.
*Touch wood* has had no illnesses or lameness.
I've had her since she was 2. She is currently out on loan to a 15 year old with aim to do Juniors.
I think that pretty much sums her up honestly!
