I changed my rotties over to feeding raw after taking lots of advice from on here, and am now well into the swing of it with much happier dogs
However, in the last 6-8 weeks my bitch has been sick after eating chicken bones. It isn't proper sick as it always happens overnight so her food has been digested by the time she is poorly, but it is always liquid with 1 or 2 chunks of bone in it. I initially had her on chicken thighs so I changed to poultry necks as they are smaller & easier to crunch up, but it is still happening.
I now only give her bones twice a week but it happens every time. There is nothing wrong with her, as in there is nothing stuck, she eats all her food and is perfectly happy other than this.
Ah whilst typing this I have just remembered she can't eat white fish either - she always used to even before I switched to raw as she would have it from time to time. In the last few months every time I have given her white fish she has sicked it up immediately, almost as soon as it hits her stomach. She will happily eat mackerel, sardines, tuna with no problem.
Does anyone have any similar problems?
