You know what, some of the professional riders think they are too big for their boots such as hogging the warm up at BE - as you all always state in your event reports
So maybe drawing attention to their rude behaviour by naming and shaming may make them act a little nicer towards amateurs (as most of you are) and might make those that are unbearable a little more bearable
But it could have been done more tactfully me thinks.
all i wanted to do was to say my experience, and i feel that it should be publicly said because when there are young children around and other competitors who choose not to use such foul language she should be shamed.

Perhaps voicing your concerns to the organisers on the day would have been more appropriate than slandering someone on an open forum?

seems to me she is just being honest about what she saw and heard sometimes i think we can take political correctness to the extreme

That wasnt the point I was getting at, some people do need to be better behaved, thats as may be, however an open forum, from where we have been quoted in the press, I do not feel is the place to voice such views.
well said i just cant see the problem with telling the truth.actually its a bit sad if telling the truth openly is to be frowned upon.sounds like a politicians tactic

Well I missed the original post, but I hope the OP wasnt referring to my language yesterday when my trainer suggested I should smack Bob with the whip for blatant misbehaving. As he had just knocked down the SJ fence stand with my left kneecap, and I had lost both stirrups and had nearly come off, I clearly declined my intention to smack him at that precise moment
I did apologise to onlookers afterwards for my language, but there were definitely no children present
I rather suspect the OP was referring to a proper rider though
you know what people can dress it up anyway they want and whitter on about people's right to speak but the OP was just snide. If you want a list of people whose language and behaviour has been publically in appropriate at BE events I can give you a list, it would have some extremely lofty names on it, including olympic medallists.
Now not everyone has to like everyone but as i already said on the other thread, this sort of disgusting unnessecary post has nothing good to be said about it. and frankly if any of the people who have said not particularly nice things about lockwood had any guts they wouldnt be bitching on here behind her back, they would say it too her face.
people might ask themselves why i spend less and less timne on here these days.
i didnt see the op but i think you can say what you feel is 'acceptable', and posters soon become known for their posts, and thus ignored ect. I hate the thought of people not voicing opinions or experiences due to reactions from other forum users! It may have been classed by some as bitchy and unecessary but thats what the op thought was acceptable to post originally. I think its up to the powers that be to get the post removed, and/or legal authorities imployed if necessary imo.
