we all have our fav's so what breed is your favourite and what for??

I'm into Irish bred at the mo for hunting and competing, although I'm quite partial to sec D's for a fun pony type.

I love your hardy irish draughts, also like section ds for your fun ponies.
like lots really, i see some nice stamps of a breed but then i see some that i think not my cup of tea, although some arnt always true to type, but my ideal horse is and id or an idx, or cleveland bay.

*looking about in a shifty way* Don't tell Touchy but, Thoroughbreds all the way!

I've had TBs, Welshies, WB's and Irish SH's but easily my favourites are Andy's and Arabs. Just because of their intelligence, huge characters and their love of human contact. And I love how brave my Andy is, how sensitive he is but also how level headed. He never throws tantrums, never gets himself so worked up he can't think straight - yet you have to be just right with him otherwise he won't do a thing for you. He's the most rewarding horse I've ever had. My Arab will throw tantrums and is very single minded - I love that about him but he can be infuriating at times!

Arabs. I have a very sensible, intelligent horse who is also very brave and kind. She puts the other horses at the yard to shame when we are out hacking as she never turns a hair whilst the rest of them are leaping about at the sight of crisp packets, pot plants, buses etc!

Well I would have to say a good WB for showjumping (I know not strictly a breed, but a type !). I do like a high Selle Francais content in my WB's though if possible

Connie x TB is the most fantastic cross there is!

But like tophorse said if I like the horse then it doesn't matter what breed it is. However saying that I also tend to likt TBs

I had many a happy time with my Anglo Arab and with a mad New Forrest but I also love our current 2 (a TB and a welsh cob).

I'd love a big warmblood one day and am considering an Irish Sports Horse fpr my next one.

Fickle moi?

Am a huge fan of ID's but have to say my TBxID is the perfect combination....he's not the usual SH because he's 1/2 and 1/2 rather than 3/4 TB - you get the bravery, the athleticism & the sure-footedness of the ID & the quirky loony spark of the TB that keeps it all very interesting!!

Lusitano's - Brilliant breed. Extremely versatile (although most seem to do dressage but they can jump so well!). Very level headed, intelligent and so honest.

TB's - Obviously great for sports like eventing as they're agile and quick!

Anglo Arabs - Now, I always said Id never own an arab and I have ended up with having 2 part breds.... but they were so intelligent, the cleverest types Ive had! Very quick thinking which also made them sharp but great fun all the same.

Welsh D's - Who COULDN'T love these dudes. Love my one to pieces, he has the biggest personality and he's so much fun.

Havent really got a favourite but i love anything with a bit of arab in it, connemaras are a nice mixed with a TB as well, oh and im completely addicted to trakehners!!

I used to be a Sed D fanatic, mine was a lot of work though and I don't know if I would have another...

My definate favourite is a TB - have 2 exracers - just love them and how clever they are - would happily have nothing but TB's...

Also have an IDx who is a superstar, would maybe like a TBxID one day.... or Highland x TB....
