Voted yes for Unaffiliated It's not that I would object W&T tests affiliated but I cannot see people paying the affil fee on top of the entry for a W&T
Have put yes for affil and unaffil. Though I guess at the end of the day money talks and if not enough people made use of the affil walk and trot then they wouldn't be put on.
I must admit that I really don't see why people wouldn't want intro tests. If you or your horse have moved on from that level then good for you, but for those people who are just trying dressage, get stressed out by the comp, or for those who have green horses; then walk and trot tests are fab! If you don't like them then don't enter them, I can't see that by being included in comp days that they can actually harm anyone - we all have to start somewhere and for plenty of people this is walk and trot.
I had to think about that as I can see why people don't feel walk & trot is appropriate at affiliated and I personally wouldn't pay money to affliate to do a walk and trot test. However if other people feel they would get something out of it e.g. better standard of judging, better organised competitions then why not offer it.
BD, BS and BE all have to generate income so I'm sure market forces will decide what classes they offer. They also have a role to encourage people into the sport and this may be one way of doing it.
I think w&t tests are brilliant, but I did put at unaffiliated level only. I can't imagine paying to affiliate and then doing a walk and trot test - having said that it wouldn't affect me if they wanted to run them and there were enough people to take part.
