Yep.. My youngster had to have hers out and I had to pay for both the dentist and the vet to come out!!!!

My vet has taken them out of one of mine today. Perhaps some vets just choose not to? You could try another vet, or you'll just have to get them both out.

You're vet sounds very sensible - nothing wrong with asking another professional to do something for which they are trained.........

Some vets have a special interest in equine dentistry - if you're near Cambridge, Avice at the University Clinic is excellent and does all of mine.

I just don't want to pay 2 people when one could do the job!! I'm only joking though, my vet is very good as is the dentist

Would get another vet,all vets around here remove them,some more efficiently than others i might add

I sure as hell wouldnt pay both,sounds like they working together to make money!!!

It is strange that the vet wont do it as I have never come across a vet not wanting to do it. However, there is obviously a reason for him not wanting to so I guess you will just have to go with it!
