Following on from the owning stallions thread, 2 weeks ago I imported a 4 year old PRE bred for bull fighting.
At my age I didn't think I would be riding a stallion, let a,one a 4 year old but he is the kindest, most well mannered horse and very trainable.
He lives on a yard with 22 other liveries.
He goes out every day with my gelding, he ties up in the yard with mares walking past him and is stables between a mare and a gelding. He also hacks quietly. He's actually easier than most on the yard!
My plan is to train him to at least PSG.
I am planning on keeping him entire as he carries the double pearl gene and was bred by a well renowned stud so his off spring will be sought after.
Anyway, I thought I'd share my experience so far as a stallion owner!
