Sparks first time long reining earlier on today. He's 2 years old, colt, currently been stabled 24/7 now for some time as no winter grazing till the fields are dry and no school or fenced off area up the barn.

And yes....that is a wood chipper in one of the videos plus a load of logs being tipper trucked off he goes past....along with the yard being on a road [albeit, a fairly quiet road] and acres of grassed fields.

So as far as showing how 'cob temperament' can be....hope that helps! And I wish you all the best with your cobs also! :D Obviously each is different and you will get the odd one that doesn't go with the rulebook, but generally, right temperament should be much as part of them as right conformation in the breed. :)

So proud of him. I'm looking forward to when he turns 3 next year!

He's gorgeous! Can heartily second the cob temperament being great, mine is a total star! Have fun with him, you won't need luck! :) x

I love your boy, what a super cob - can I have him Please:p

Mind you I am so proud of my welsh cob today. He's turning 3 and still settling in with me. Well we had big straw delivery, tractor and trailer/bale machine thingy pull into the yard. He came straight over, lent over the gate and tried nibbling the mud-guard over the front wheel with the tractor running and trailer unloading. Today I was impressed!

Aw, what a dude Cambrica! :)

Thankyou.

He's about 13.3/14hh at the moment I'd guess, he'll make the 15hh mark like his Dad hopefully :)

He's awesome :) He has the cutest face!

Our cob was his polar opposite- he'd been spoilt, and he was a cheeky sod anyway! Shows what good handling can do though with your lad. Wish Henry could have been as pleasant!

He is lovely. Mine is another total opposite. I didn't see the original thread on cob temperaments but mine definitely is more tb like than cob. He is cheeky, highly intelligent and extremely forward going to ride and definitely not for a novice either to handle or to ride.

Whatta nice boy! Tho' if he lived round here the clippers would soon be out in force ....... :)

But he has got a lovely look to him, and a nice eye.

Pffffft. Wash your mouth out ;) Clippers will never touch him in the next 30 years or so other than to body clip him. Lol.

But thankyou :p
