I have found a dead mouse in feed before...yuck!

BUT this is the best....

About 15-ish years ago, I opened a bag of pasture mix and thought there were 'bits of plastic' in there....

Sooooo I spent ages picking them all out and called Dodson & Horrell to whine...

Guess what?

The 'plastic' was actually shredded and dried carrots! Hahahahaha!

What an arse I was....didn't even think to read the bag with '....now with carrots!'...

What a dumbass, eh?

:D

Anyone else have any funny tales...?

LOL

I remember years ago when I had my first pony, we had feed bins without lids, I used to go in the shed in the mornings and find a load of mice bouncing up the sides of the tubs trying to get out, as a kid i gave them a helping hand LOL

My friend scooped out a scoop of mollichaff along with a big rat that was in there which then ran up her arm and along her shoulder before jumping off and running away! She was actually hysterical (not that I blame her!) poor girl.

I opened a bag of mollichop once and found not one but two bird wings, no body just the wings. The were quite big as well came off something like a blackbird or thrush, took the bag back to the shop and got a new one and also wrote to the company and got a £20 voucher.

lol i did that before too lol.

i had a mouse in my alfalfa a few days ago and didnt notice, took my scoop out and it run up my arm an onto my head! i have never run out of the feed shed faster in my life! lol now i kick the bag before i go in it now just incase little elvis (ive named the mouse) is in there!

Scary stuff!

My mother told me once when she worked on the market as a teenager, she opened a box of banana and a big fat tarantula was sat looking at her....

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Not horse related, but when I was little I found a piece of wire in some 'exceedingly good' cake. Fairly sturdy and about 2cm long.

Parents sent it in to the company, received a voucher and a letter apologising, but saying the wire was 'too small' to be able to be spotted during production/prevented from happening again!

Many, many many years ago the riding school I helped at asked me and a few others to go ragwort picking. All I knew back then was that it had yellow flowers. We cleared the field of buttercups!! It took us all day! When we had finished the owner asked us why we had been so long because there was only a few bits of ragwort to pick!!
