fontainebleau eventing champs - is anyone going (to watch)??

Can anyone help??

We are thinking of going to Fontainebleau to watch the European champs in sept...have been trying to book the tickets but I don't understand French (website is in English then reverts to french every time i try to order tickets!!!)
Has anyone booked tickets yet? how does seat allocation work for the dressage and showjumping??? there doesn't seem to be any option to choose seats is it just random..... i'm sure when we booked for WEG in aachen there was a choice of seats/prices?

i dont know about the dressage and showjumping but it isnt a great course for viewing the xc alot of it is through the woods so if I am not working there i probably wont go

oh really....is the xc one so those thats better to watch on tv than in the flesh...?

It was a toss up between this and the weg next year in america.....we thought this because its closer and therefore cheaper although would prefer to see a bit of everything at the weg!!!
plus...i'm struggling to find any accommodation at the mo let alone book the tickets!!!

I think so myself and anyway if it was a choice go to WEG and stay in a nearby town. dont be put off by a what would be a big distance in england. Car hire is cheaper than here so is gas and the roads are better. My mate lives in richmond which is where i will be staying which is a half hour drive, you also might look at louisville, about 45 mins from the park, Nicholasville (about half hour) Paris (same), and Versailles (20 minutes).
