What would you reccomend for a 6 month old lab pup that looks "skinny"?

I always thought she was thin (she's the runt) but after having friends over for xmas they all commented on how skinny she is! I cant remember what food she's on, ill double check tomorrow.

What would you recommend?

Something with a good protein ratio and no cereal. You could look at James Wellbeloved, the Arden Grange, Skinners or Applaws range. Orijen is the highest protein dry kibble, I believe. Alternatively, supplement with chicken or go raw.

Are you sure she's skinny and not just lean? Puppies shouldn't be tubby, it's awful for their joints and if she's more of a working type, not show, then she might be fine. Talk to your vet and find out her ideal weight.

Post some pics of her :) I have a skinny lab - he's actually the perfect weight but people always go on about his weight because theyre used to seeing podgy/fat labs...

So do I, I bet she is just fine!

Fish, fish oil, eggs and veg oil are good for adding to food to improve condition, rather than chopping and changing foods.

As others have said, they're a weightbearing breed who can be prone to HD, it's better she is a bit rangey in youth than carrying too much.
