Our little dog has been in hospital with acute haemorrigic diarrhoea syndrome. He is home now and he is drinking well but cannot tempt him with food. He was eating some plain chicken and rice but won’t touch that now. He is normally fed Lilys kitchen wet food which he loves but not interested. Have tried some tuna and some warm kibble. Not expecting him to eat much but am a bit worried it’s going backwards. Any suggestions of things to tempt him would be very welcome. Also can’t get his meds into him. Was given an anti vomit shot this am at the vet

Why Chappie as opppsed to other tinned food?
We have had similar issues recently *touch wood atm we seem ok but I didn't know about Chappie being anything other than supermarket type stuff 🤷‍♀️
Is it just the smell? which sounds lovely!

The original tinned recipe is pretty plain/basic, appetising and good for sensitive/poorly stomachs and wet so better for hydration. Always my go to if a dog is ill. My old dogs generally spend their last few years on either the tins or the dry food if/when other stuff is too rich for them/things start packing up. Plenty of vets/police dog trainers/working people will recommend the tins for poorly dogs to get them eating again.

Tinned chappie mixed with warm water then smeared onto a licky mat. This worked fir a friends spaniel when he wouldn’t eat anything else
