Just wondered what people thought ? As the owner of a horse who is currently under going some really interesting changes to his feet - he currently is growing more on the inside of one front than the other but is sounder and movng better than he has done in the last two years - some of it isn't ringing true with the results I am seeing

Hi 2mh, I have been following your progress with your horse. How's he getting on? Just read the article and I'm not sure it says anything really. Lots of the evidence isn't significant and I guess that with your horse he is going through a huge change feet wise and so it will be interesting to see if what she is saying does ring true but you will prob only know once he has grown a whole new foot. Think the article is basically saying that there is little rhyme or reason to why some horses go lame and others don't, but if the horse has collapsed heels and a coronary band that curves downwards to the heels it's not great...I may have missed the point of this article! :-D

Hey - been following your ginge as well (think we are facebook friends :) ) Realy good - like someone has all of a sudden taken the hand brake off and we have some funky looking feet currently as he started growing them out on one angle and they seem to be coming down even steeper now such a difference :) Im so glad you said this as I was beginning to wondered if I had missed th epoint of the article - he seems to be keeping this extra hoof - no amount of road work takes it back to the level of the other part of his foot but he is sounder and happier than he has eve been so who am I to argue :)
