Can anyone recommenda good foot supplement for a horse with quite typical TB feet?

Thanks in advance

I've put my horse on a feed balancer. Cheaper in the long run imo and contains all the nutrients required to help the foot (that's the theory anyway).

Many people use Topspec. I use Redmills.

i can't recommend equilife's formula 4 feet highly enough. my TB has been on it about 1 1/2 years now and his feet are so much better, my farrier used to struggle finding new horn to nail into and his feet used to split terribly but now they are much better - touch wood!!! whatever you do end up trting you have to give it months to work through. he used to be on plain biotin but that didn,t help. just type in formula 4 feet into a search engine and it willbring up their website and they deliver free the following day. brilliant!

Hi, my mare has rubbish feet and an awful great sand crack to make matters worse. I put her on Equi hoof from Vet-vits (on line company) and after a month or so my farrier really noticed a significant change for the better in her feet. I think its about £15 for 60 days supply. I use their other supplements too and find them very good.

I'v always had biotin recommended to me, I use Gold Labels biotin plus, good for feet and coat and it won't break the bank!

My mare had awful feet this time last year, I stuck her on NAF biotin and after using one 2kg pack they were good enough to put on something less. I now feed her Bailey's Lo-Cal balancer, which has the biotin in and keeps her feet going strong. Formula 4 Feet and that other similar one are both meant to be good, but I find straight biotin and slapping Cornucrescine on any cracks or breaks works very well and is cheaper! The Cornucrescine did my nails good too!

Another vote for formula 4 feet. The difference in my boys feet has been amazing. So much more hoof growth & stronger horn to nail into.

Best stuff I have found is Topspec balancer. Cheaper than a hoof supplement, and works better than Biotin. Horses feet improved beyond recognition with TS and Alfa A, with the Oakwood or Kevin Bacon hoof stuff on once a day

The best thing I've used for Athena is Naf Pro-Feet. She's managed to keep two sets of shoes on now, where as before she never had back shoes on - I think it's fantastic stuff!!!!

Another vote for Formula 4 Feet. Have a look on ebay - there is a seller caller prequestrian (or similar) that has it the cheapest i've seen.

The Carr Day & Martin cornucrescine dressings are fab too!
