My pony teddi has his shoes/feet done every 5 or 6 weeks. I've been havin the lil pony trimmed 2. But the littke pony doesn't do a lot and doesn't have mega foot growth, I'm gonna see if he'll go the 10 wks. Do you think this is reasonable?

At this time of year there will be less foot growth anyhow so 10 wks should be fine. I have my shets done every 3 mnths, with the farrier checking them in between this period, but invariably do not need doing.

You may get away with this, but get the Farrier to at least check every time he visits.

When I 1st got him he went 4 quite a long time to get in sync with my other 1. Just didn't want 2 find out I was leaving it wayyyyyy 2 long. Lol puts my mind at rest thanks.

The reason why your pony probably has good feet is because they are maintained every 5-6 weeks!

There may not be a lot of growth but balance is key and a horses foot can go our of balance very quickly - albeit only slightly but if left over 5-6weeks this can start to put a strain on the soft tissue and can make achieving hoof balance more difficult
