Football match hacking

Just had a lovely hack, just me and the horse and empty roads. I waited til just before kick off to set off. It was like being in a western movie, when I rode into town there was nobody about. I pretended I was a gunslinger riding into a ghost town in the wild west, right down the middle of the road. (I could hear there were no cars coming lol)

I know, I'm such a saddo...

Anyone else ride out during the England match? Gets a thumbs-up from me!!!!

'Cept I went out at just gone 3 today, but still all the footie nutters were in watching Beijing South vs New Zealand North Island or something.....

Yes, me too - well late afternoon. Horse is now 100% flag proof. Roads definately quieter than usual, just met a few on a "beer run", will look out for next match times and try to clash fully next time.

I love riding on cup final afternoon too!!

It took me back to when I was a kid and of sunny lazy days out rideing scruffy gypsy ponies on desolate country lanes on the Isle of Wight.........perfect!!

And we have another 10 days of it I believe?

I am soooo missing riding - I am so fed up of feeling ill and having no energy - and the weather is so lovely, and I haven't got enough energy to even get tacked up, let alone ride anywhere

I am not riding at present but I remember the last world cup and having lovely hacks in peace and quiet. We went for a walk last night and it was really nice.
