just been down and he looks fine, but keeping him in, taking no chances. Does anyone's laminitic get footy? Was footy today, short, tottering gait. Also if I put him out for a few hours a day, what is the best time of day? Think all night is too much now and this has been a warning.

The grass is really coming through now, so if he has a history of Laminitis then I would be highly suspect that it may be this, especially as he is a bit 'footie' which is a sign ... not feeling pulses is good, but I would be very careful!

When my old Cushings horse had suspected Laminitis again in July last year (that was the first sign of his Cushings in 2005) Vet said 10 days box rest and 2 bute a day ... they can also suggest ACP as well. So perhaps, if you don't want to get the Vet then this may be the course of action, however you could always call the Vet and have a 'chat' .

Hope he improves

My boy usually starts with the pottery stride and little steps when he is starting to show signs of lami - even in bald field at this time of year I have to be careful. No pulses is a good sign.
Hope hosey is ok xx

Well I have always been advised to get them off the grass and in on hay until they are completely sound with whatever medication the vet suggests. Then turn them out at the vets recomendations avoiding frosty grass etc.
