Footwear for burghley?!

Well I just wondered if anyone could tell me what the grounds like out there, so what footwear would be most suitable?!

There's a thin coating of mud in parts of the shoppping area, but it's not deep. Wouldn't recommend boxfresh trainers, but neither would you need wellies.
It's not as bad as I expected at all considering how it was supposed to have been on Thursday.

wasn't too bad today A little muddy in some of the well-walked areas, but nothing horrendous. I wore Converse All Stars with no prob

I wore my hunters but mainly because they were the best option I had. Wellies weren't really needed & as long as your shoes aren't too new or you aren't too precious about them then anything sensible will do.
