Ok, so there have been a lot of posts recently about animal communications and understandably there are a lot of cynics. I was cynical too.

However, having had vet after trainer after vet after trainer tell me my horse's behavior was "habit" "naughtiness" and that she "needs a man on her" I took this as a last resort.

I sent a picture of her face and her name, what I got back is in know way general or generic, or at least i don't think so. It was done in person, (she came to see me after chatting, and had written everything on a clipboard, so only have the reading in my brain) what she said was scary, I told her nothing. We then went into the stable and asked her more.

She gets headaches which are caused by a problem with her poll, secondary to an injury to her pelvis. That's why when you ride her she puts her head up and cocks it to the right.

(How did she know that? I never told her, and it was later confirmed by the back person, and I said nothing to her about it)

She doesn't like the flash, it's disrespectful and she doesn't understand why it's there

(No flash in pic, she could have guessed I suppose but it was risky)

She has some scars on her legs, they are from when, I quote "i was in a big lorry, huge and they didn't let me drink, and the things on my legs were tight, and i was sweating, and they rubbed.

(Before this little girl had been stood quietly in her stable, but as soon as we asked about that, she started box walking, sweating, pacing, never seen anything like it!!)

Next I asked about jumps, I said some she doesn't like, and are there any in particular etc.

(Communicator went quiet, before looking up, as if she's see a ghost.)

She had an accident, not with you but somebody else, they were jumping a big yellow oxer and crashed through it, it hurt her and scared her and she doesn't know what went wrong.

(She did. I was stood there as somebody else mucked up the approach to a big yellow oxer and they crashed into it. She was scared, and it took ages for me to be able to ride her properly after that.)

The last bit was, thank you I'm so grateful that you have asked what I have to say, I just want to go out in the field and have a giant buck. This horse doesn't do this as she loves her food and is always head down straight away when I turn her out.

I turned her out and she galloped off, bucking like I've never seen anything buck.. Then turned back and looked at us, little ears forward, that horse honestly looked as if she were grinning, she looked so happy for a change. I promptly burst into tears
Now there was more, but right now I can't remember. Will dig out the notes I took and update.

If you think it's still general, fair enough. Thought it might be an interesting addition to the stories on here already :D

By the way, the horse was a lot better after the communication, and is now consistently jumping clear. This is something I never thought possible. Before my riding her consisted of 20 mins hanging on and aiming for a quiet lap of the school in walk, before getting off again.

That's fascinating. I must confess I have been cynical when reading other people's readings, but I do feel there is 'something' there.

Who did your reading for you?

I saw a psychic a few years ago....he went around the room telling people about their parents/spouses/aunties etc, and when he got to me, he staggered backwards and looked up and said 'Its a horse".....and went on to tell me things only me and my horse who had died in 2001 would know.....I was dressed in a skirt too, so no signs that I am a horse rider etc.....

I was very sceptical, but he couldnt have known all that stuff......

Very weird!!!!

Who cares whether others are cynical or not, if it helps you and your horse, that is all that matters, same as anything really, if it works for you both and it isn't cruel or injuring the animal, then thats all that matters.

Nice post :)

Thanks for posting about your experience :)

I have a weird mentality about this sort of thing

I sort of do believe, and I certainly want to believe but somehow, and I don't know why, I feel like I should be cynical and dismissive of it all.

Does anyone understand what I mean??

OP did you got into it with a completely open mind? Or were you cynical?

I went to see one with my OH.
The things that lady told no-one could have known. Stuff even my OH didn't know about me. She knew I rode (I was wearing jeans and plain t shirt). My OH was VERY sceptical, until the lady said "Your nana is here",... and went on to describe her, and talked about his teenage years. He cried!

I had a communicator do a reading for a pony once, and she was very 'general'. She did say he;d go lame soon though, and he did!

It's human nature to shun what we don't understand. I mean that in a nice way, because it';s completely true. It's easier for us to pooh pooh something than understand something we may never understand.

Thats interesting! I do think there's a difference between psychics and communicators. Which is maybe where the difference in accuracy lies? I don't know, but it seems that some "get the feeling" and others ask specific questions and get specific answers. Does that make sense? Again, I may be wrong

Totally agree with this, I've only had positives with animal communicators and people. Went to see one shortly after my mum died and she told me things that only my mum could've know and even told me about things I'd forgotten about.

Whether you believe or not, if it brings you comfort (for whatever reason) that's all that matters.

Now that is fascinating. One thing that makes me sceptical is that ones that do it from picture, does the horse react when they are "talking" to it? So the fact that yours did I find very interesting. This makes me believe it more than the other posts I must say.

I would also love to know who you had out. I had a communicator out to a horse of mine and it proved really interesting and certainly solved the problem. However had someone else out and it was a complete waste of time. I would be seriously interested in possibly using one again.

My new YO is a big believer and communicates, I was always scepticle (sp) before meeting her, but alot of what she says just seems so right!!

What she did was "introduce herself via the picture the night before, then told me what she had got (she had it all written down) Then we went into the stables. That's when the horse began to react to the questions. Pulling faces when pointed to areas where she was sore (didn't do that before) and starting getting very distressed talking about the lorry and the scars on her legs and sweated up. She fell asleep when talking about happier things.

Oh yes, and we were talking about schooling and saying how much easier it would be if she stretched a bit. Low and behold, she stood there and had a huge stretch!

Could you PM me as well please? Thanks!

[although considering you've been singing her praises I am sure she wouldn't mind you saying publicly who it is!]
