Tiger finally settled into his new field with his mares, so after a few weeks hard work hes finally happy for me to fuss mares without him being protective.

Interesting to see the raised spots. The black patches on my mini are much coarser than the white patches and stand up like this too.

The foal in the last signature picture? Is that just the angle or is there a little bit of brindling there, and in the one next to it? Same horse?

How many horses do you have?

The pictures in my signature are all of my filly Daisy. Yes she does have brindle in her coat, very rare but lovely markings.

Topaz's filly is the only one we have with the raised spots.

Have 23 in total but 15 of them are in the herd.

I think this is one of the ones JM is worried about and it caught my eye too.

I'm curious AB - how come you had a foal born in October?

The mares headcollars were sorted out after pics were taken.

As for foals headcollars they are fitted fine not tight nor loose as are checked daily.

I also care about the safety of my horses which is why i did state when posted that headcollars were sorted before i left the field.

As for the filly born in October, she was caught late by friends stallion but it doesnt bother me to be honest.

I'm afraid in the photo I quoted then the headcollar doesn't look well fitted.

If she only foaled last week, and is out with your colt, aren't you worried that she will be caught again, with her foaling heat, giving you once again a very late foal?

I think what people are saying is that the foals headcollars really are too tight. You can see that clearly from the photos, too tight for them to eat comfortably. Are your headcollars also nylon? In which case they aren't very safe for turnout.
This is probably really winding you up, but I think people are trying to be helpful.
