Mr clever clogs as been gettting out of his stable. Initially the girls blamed each other because his stable is horseproof. Till they caught him at the deed.

Said horse is in a barn with internal stables. the partitions are all grids at head level - ie. the horse can see all the way round their box with the exception of the back wall. The door has a pole which needs to be pushed down before the door can be slid back. The poles are about 4 " apart.

His lordship is carefully wriggling his muzzle through the gap, pushing the pole down and then sliding the door open and no, if there hadn't been a witness I would not have believed it either!

Door is now chained when there are no humans in the barn!

No way are irish horses thick - my girl is irish and is much smarter than me, it's a right bugger! I swear her top lip is practically an opposable thumb, far too nimble to get up to any good!

I used to have the same doors but you had to lift the leaver and had anti weaving grills with the v cut out.
My TB gelding used to let himself out every night and be eating the bale of haylage every morning.
There were all manner of arguements on the yard about who was last to leave and not bolted his door.
Till we all stood one night and check that his door was shut, and next morning out again, borrowed a fields calfing camera and watched him lean right over and lift handle in his teeth and slide door back and go munch
now and again he would left a few friends out to join

The pony is unbelievably clever - but neither he, nor his two Irish buddies have worked out that rolling UPHILL is not the way to go!

very funny! to add insult to injury, he was eating the various breakfasts left out but seemed to be picky about whose he was eating - it was never his but the TB mares opposite which has far interesting bits in it!

Irish horses are absolutely not thick - who said they were?

It's the warmbloods (continental breeds, before anyone points out that most Irish horses are warmbloods, as in hot blood x cold blood  :p) that are thick!

I dont think you could call any horse thick really e.g. my friends warmblood wears a muzzle because she looks like shes about to give birth to triplets she has such a big grass belly and so yesterday when we were tacking her up like we ususally do outside we took the muzzle off and she decided to drag us about until the reins snapped (we had only just managed to get the reins over her neck) the two places she went were to the gate for the field and her stable looking for food. i think this is proof enough that she is not thick :P

thick? i dont think so!
ino im irish and im not just saying they arnt thick cos im irish but no horse rs stupid. ok some horses can be silly at times but thats for every horse? right.. ?
