Evening all
Hope you've had a lovely day
All is well here in the puppy household, NOW, but I had a horrendously stressful middle of the day today, when my beloved dogs went AWOL!
They usually do their own thing hooning around at the yard, generally pretty close to me, popping up when I whistle, and coming back to sit at my feet for a biscuit, but today they disappeared into the bleak open fens for the best part of two hours
To say that I was upset and scared is an understatement, but thankfully after two loooooong hours of traipsing round calling and crying, and just as I was going into absolute melt down
they turned up again. I really thought they had gone for good/been stolen/run over, or all kinds of other horrific scenarios going through my mind

I think that they spotted some stuuuupid Christmas day walkers who thought it ok to walk their dogs over YO's land, and went off in pursuit of them...

They came home exhausted
had their v late lunch and have spent the rest of the day enjoying the fire, sporting their fancy new collars.
What a day for them to chose to go missing. Popple has been known to be cheeky before about coming back to get in the car, but never has she completely gone out of sight for this long with me calling and calling.
I am so, so relieved they are home and safe. I had been feeling blue this Christmas as some of the people I care about have not been here to join us, but for tonight I shall just be grateful that my girls are
Funnily enough, when mother and I *finally* got home, showered and sat down to swap pressie, the first few we opened were all dog walking orientated
Anyway, I've had too much bubbly and no dinner as of yet (have burned my finger though, doh!) love and best wishes to you all, and your four legged ones
Hope you all have a fabulous 2011
H xx
