how much would my horse be worth?

stats

17yrs old
16.1hh
TB
Gelding

Pros -
hacks out alone and in company, diamond in school can put anyone on him and he will look after them. has jumped 3ft+ in the past, very clean limbed. good to shoe

cons -
doesn't load well, can be an handful to clip/pull ect. he is just being brought back into work after a year off due to feet issues which have now been rectifyed. we won't know what he is capable of doing until he is fully fit.

i what to know what you think his is worth as i don't want to over value him but i don't want to undervalue him at the same time. to me he is absolutely priceless as i would never find another horse as good as him

Good luck with a value, but consider is loss of use necessary. If he is priceless to you, would you still keep him if he was un rideable?. If so, I would consider excluding loss of use. I have posted earlier today about insurance companies and something odd is now happening, they are trying to find every way they can to make exclusions to your policy. Tell me how my new horses insurance can be affected by my old horse cutting a leg - WHEN IT WAS NOT CLAIMED FOR, OR EVEN INSURED FOR VETS FEES.? - we are all going to end up much much poorer this year, and that is going to be down to the insurance industry as the premiums are rockerting, the cover is reducing, or we just wont be calling the vets out and self treating. Ime off to join the BHS to take advantage of there insurance cover.

i don't insure for loss of use and yes i have kept him when he was considered to never be able to be ridden again but he has with alot of hard work and money come right
