No I can't see anyone wanting it really!!! I think I could help you out though by giving it a home. (Just to help you out, you understand)

LOL! I'm afraid he's not mine - he was bred by Rollestone Stud....and he's already been snapped up by an eager buyer, at only a few days old.

Thank you all so much for all the nice comments! And for all the helpful info on palomino colour - I really must learn more about this. I've been told they almost invariably start out a very pale colour and go darker, so maybe he'll end up the 'perfect' gold colour - fingers crossed!

Another palomino Tobagoling - a 2008 filly out of a champion cremello mare - has her first show coming up this Sunday. She was born more or less the same colour as this foal, and her owners say her colour is now 'fantastic'. They also say she's the best foal they've ever bred (they are breeding the dam back to Tobago this year) so I have high hopes! I'll try to get them to send me some photos...

What a stunning baby!! I adore his colouring and he will prob go a darker, richer colour as he grows up.
Apologies for the quality of the pic but this is my old palamino arabx welsh pony who was deemed by a palamino society inspector to be 'a perfect palamino'.

Wow what a lovely foal, you must be very proud of Tobago's offspring and siring. I was looking forward to seeing this one born but naughty Mummy foaled in the field she must have been shy! I would imagine he will change colour slightly but will be stunning either way...Hope you are feeling better. Do you have any other new Tobagolings that we can oggle? I was up at Di Ellis's stud in Bath last month and saw Mobago who is a big lad...

Thank you! I really like this foal too - but then I am just a wee bit biased, so it's great to have more objective opinions!

No pics of other new Tobagolings just yet - they are mostly arriving later this year, and one beautiful filly very sadly died a few days after a difficult birth (nobody's fault - just rotten bad luck) but I'm waiting for pics of a couple more...and some 'star' mares are due later in the season...watch this space....!

Glad to hear Mobago is growing well!

I know nothing at all sorry, only that he is stunning, and is going to be a handsome beast like his dad! Would love to see what he looks like when he's all grown up, don't think i've seen a cross like that before.

I think it's about time we had some photos of the man himself to drool over too

How's he doing now?

Thank you! This is Tobago's first foal from a warmblood mare, but there will be more...for example, a very successful warmblood sport-horse breeder (Volatis Stud) has just booked a fabulous, fully graded, beautifully bred Trakehner mare to Tobago for this season...

ETA - sorry - you asked for Tobago pics - here he is waving hello to you:

...and having a bad hair day:

...and just looking pleased with himself:

...and trying to prove he can go in a nice outline without any help from a rider:

Hello K, good to see you around again, I hope you are feeling much recovered.

What a stunning little foal. I can't say about registration in the UK as I didn't have palominos there, but three summers ago I had a palomino filly just this colour, as a yearling she shed out a lot lighter and looked almost cream.

My stallion was a very pale palomino when I got him as a 2 year old, he's rising 5 now and each summer he has progressively gone a darker gold. I am hoping he isn't going to get much darker.

I am much better, thanks - nearly up to 6 and a half stone now (not bad considering I was 5 stone and nearly dead not so long ago)!

Interesting about your filly - I was told they nearly always got darker as they matured, but obviously there are exceptions!

Maybe it's palominos with a cremello parent who always start very pale, whereas the pally/pally and chestnut/pally crosses can be darker at birth? Dunno!
