"For Sale/Swap" Forum?

Many apologies if this has already been discussed. I realise that H&H will not want to allow most sales via the forum as this would adversely affect their Classified section, but does anyone else feel that a separate forum for the sale of items worth, say, £10 or less, might be useful. Some well-worn items of riding wear for example, are not worth the cost of advertising in classifieds and things like books/dvds are also low value and a lot of hassle to place on sites like ebay for so little money. Has this ever been discussed?

Any comments from the the Forum moderators? It really would be so useful and I honestly don't believe that it would affect the H&H classifieds if there was an upper value limit

Who do I contact to get this okayed? It would certainly be easier to have a separate forum, although if we've started already, I have a few riding wear wants!!

I think it'd be great too. Especially if you capped it at say £10, then it would in no way effect H&H adverts and they could modify it to make sure no one was offering, say a horse for £10, with a £2990 delivery charge!

I agree - I think even a £20 limit would work providing, as you say, the delivery charges were moderated.

To H&H - I do hope this isn't deleted without consideration. This really would be another great service to offer the forum users - good PR really!!

I asked about a swaps post - similar to the bit bank one - and I got sent to the naughty corner as some people were offering sales on the thread, and H&H offers free advertising for certain items apparently (under a certain value maybe, I cant recall what my PM from admin said).

Still think a swaps stickied post would be good.

I think there was a post in the suggestions bit and admin completely disregarded it as it would be too hard to monitor and apparently some of their classifieds are free.....

New rider has a swap / sale section that is allowed so you could try there?
I have lots of my rugs on there!

Can I also suggest that no-one offers anything on this thread for now, until we know whether this is something that they would allow? Don't want to anger anyone by doing something naughty!! ...

I didn't know about the free classifieds ad bit in H&H mag either, will have to have a look.

It would be nice to have a 'wanteds' section on here though. I'd pay 50p to advertise!!!

i think since we have a bit swap sticky we should be allowed a swap shop like NR.
