my horse has sarcoids (going to get checked) im giving him sarc ex again but just wondering if there is something else i can give him to help fight them from inside ,globle herbs said just give him that but i did notice in the summer he was eating wood and dung,i gave him sarc ex last year and stopped then notice a few come up over the spring so had him on equicell but that just gave him lots of energy ,now he is on the sarc ex should i give him anything else for the immune or just stick to the sarc ex and maybe just some minerals and vitamins like globalvite? has anyone used that before did have him on the naf one, any help would be helpfull its not knowing whats the best thing to do.

My horse had sarcoids and we used sarc-ex for some time. We also used (and still do) Restore for Global Herbs.

What helped him most was homeopathy - we had a homeopathic vet (Mark Elliott - Hampshire/Sussex) come and see him and prescribe a remedy. Over about a year to 18 months, the sarcoids disappeared.

I think it is important to ensure they have adequate vits and mins as well. I think Restore helped more than Sarc-Ex and I still give him a course twice a year or so.

When my mare had a bad injury this year and was fighting infection from the inside, I was recommended immuneaid. Used it for 4 months and infection seems to be gone and so would definitely recommend that.
