where do u buy your jodphurs from? My leg length is just over 36" and according to a lot of clothing people 34" is classed as 'tall'...need some new beige jodphurs to take the old chap to a couple of shows:)
 
Im 5,11" and always end up in long riding boots or ankle boots and half chaps. So you cant really see either way but it would be nice to own a pair that ACTUALLY fit.
 
pikuer long seem to be longer than cavallo (which aren't v long at all!) so I go with them or rugged breeches are suprisingly good in their regular length (they don't do long). Breeches as long as you can find, with long socks are best! I don't like cavallo as their velcro is on the outside and so sits against your skin when it doesn't reach - doesn't come close to me as it is round the top half of my calf! Rugged and pikeur have the velcro itchy half on the inside so it just keeps your socks up!

ohh, just remembered, I once got some kadence jods in the contrywide sale, I actually had to cut a couple of inches off the bottom!!
 
I once bought some cheapo robinsons robust jodhs in "long", I have a 33" inside leg and they were soooooooo long the knee patches were below my knees and I had yards of fabric hanging off my feet. Out of interest I suggested that the super long legged other half try them on (he's 6ft2" and mainly leg) they were wrinkled up round his ankles to the extent that he couldn't fasten his boots! Not sure what variety of freak they were designed for but I reckon you would have needed about a 38" inside leg!

Being serious Robinsons do a longer length in a few of their styles and I have a couple of pairs that are long enough to wear with short boots if I want to. But generally I wear long boots so it doesn't matter. Decathlon breeches are nice and long, they are long enough on me that the velcro can't be seen if I wear short boots with no chaps.

DH has Saddle Master and Gorringe jodhs but I'm not sure you can still get either......

Or you could try made to measure from Dobbies Jodhs, I think they are about £35 a pair so fairly cheap and will definitely fit. I had a pair years ago they were great quality and fitted beautifully, sadly they don't anymore, but that is my fault not the jodhs! My sister's pair lasted years too. Google the name, they have a website.
 
I don't bother with jods anymore just use breaches instead (got fed up trying to find any which were long enough :()

Once I have long boots / half chaps on etc you can't tell the difference.
 
Having long, willowy 36" legs should be punishable by death. I am glad you have such trouble finding jods to fit.

Im in the same boat at almost 6foot with all my extra height in my legs (same height as 'normal' people when sat down). With difficulty is the answer! :o I just buy ones that are most manufacturers definition of 'tall' so that they finish a bit further down and cover up with long socks :). Only problem is when the knee patches are in the wrong place or the material isnt particularly stretchy and the ankle bit is fitting on lower calf! Nice elasticated panels at the bottom usually work well though :). Good luck and let me know if you find any! :D
 
Harry Hall and Caldene both do long joddies, which are long enough for me (I take 36" leg trousers).

I also have a long pair of Saddle Master ones, and 2 pairs of long breeches by a random brand, Kia Wolf.

Standard length ones + long socks just don't work, the knee patches end up as thigh patches on me!
