Hello all *waves*
So I decided NOT to chicken out and took L SJ today, I did however enter the smaller classes to save over facng myself and him as they had a wall in the course (meant to be NOVICE night but oh well
)
Warmed up well so went in for the CR (unwanted entourage not there by this point!) Well he went nicely untill the double and the (not so ) little bugger swing out which resulted on me sitting on his neck
BUT I stayed on 
He also found napping to the gate rather fun
So went in again after a bit more work in the warm up (entourage had arrived by this point) and he jumped well just clipping the planks at the last fence, was V looky to have my instructor there who was fab and helped me warm up etc and tell me what I needed to be doing
Entered the first class which was only 2' but built like 2'3" (again meant to be NOVICE night!) and did feel stupid but at the end of the day it was only Lords 4th SJ comp and I want to do things right by him as he does have a good jump in him and I do not want to rush and therefore r*in him.
Went in and he was listening to me and really felt a lot more confident in himself flew 1-6 then into the JO again lovely steady pace upto the wall (he has never seen one in his life before bless him) he got a little deep but jumped it first time had 2 poles down in the JO d*e to me trying to stop him napping to the gate, b*t was pleased as he was listening and felt *onfident et*
Walked him off and gave him big pats and went to head for the lorry when.....

Turns out we came 3rd (his first placing ) on 8 faults (LOTS of people fell off or got eliminated at the wall!) so I was rather shocked to say the least
So we are now planning his next outing and he can jump a bit bigger now I have a bit more confidence in myself and LORD has built up a bit more
onfidence and experience
