My mare is due in May (first foal for me!) and so many people have asked whether they can come and see it that I plan to ask each and every one to donate at least £1 to ILPH Make a Noise Campaign to fund the campaign to get the laws changed and improve conditions for all those poor horses travelling live for the meat trade in Europe.
I was at the ILPH yesterday to donate goods and got some posters and leaflets about this - as many letters as possible need to be sent to a Euro MP as the amount of physical letters received has a bearing on success apparently.
I know that large scale breeders probably wouldn't want to have lots of visitors and get involved in this way but it might be an easy way to raise money by private breeders who inevitably will have curious friends wanting to see the new arrival?
