I have remembered to take some pictures!! I have also started to soak his hay and only bring him in 3 times a week instead of 5, this is only really so he can get his grazing muzle off, as it rubs if left on to long.

He's gone from 504kg on weigh tape (I know they are not accurate, but it's a good guide) to 490kg. I can tell a difference in how he feels when ridden, he feels thiner!! Either that or my hips and knee's have loosed off. ;)

So he now looks like this.....

Not much I know but I can see a small difference and it's the right way, as in he's lost some not gained any!!:D:D

Lovely looking chap!!

We've had our Irish cob on a diet for a while cos he was looking a bit tubby! I ran into some Spillers people at a show last week who did a fat score & weighed him - he scored 7 (i thought he was fatter than that!) & on weigh tape he was 408kg but his actual weight was 379kg!! Lovely surprise!!

You're going the right way if hes not gaining any!!
Good luck!! xx

:D Great news. Loosing weight steadily is the way to go but does take human stamina and determination. :D
I'm still dieting my horse that got obese and planned for it to take all Spring and Summer but we're getting there.
