For those of you who let dogs on your beds

Well pippa NEVER goes in on the bed..... under the duvet....with a hot water bottle...... :D

What fabulous pictures and what lovely dogs you all have! I have 2 collies who are not allowed on the bed but its strange how sometimes when I go up and climb in there are no dogs on the bed but a really warm area that feels just like something has been lying there.............. Puzzling!

Jilly Cooper was once asked why she was so normal and well balanced. She replied (paraphrased) "Because when I was a child I was never frightened at night. There was always a dog on my bed". Our trainer at Dog Obedience made some negative comment about dogs being allowed on beds. Aware of a sudden chilling of the atmosphere he asked how many of us had our dogs on our beds. All 15 people put their hands up. It hasn't been mentioned since!

Ours have their own bed at night - otherwise they'd keep us awake, but they often sneak in in the morning once one of us has got up!

Given that she's getting through those bones like dummies at the moment and that they're filled with salmon mousse which goes all sloppy when it defrosts, I'd rather she didn't take them on my bed. :p

i think in my case it is i who sleeps in the dogs bed. She is mastiff x dane and takes up a huge amount of my bed, my partner is away till thursday and he will have a fit trying to get her off and keep her off the bed after my erm lax training methods this past week.

This is the best post!! Amazes me that any with whippets though actually show them on top of duvets, mine lives under the duvet and does not like being exposed to oxygen. Not worth posting a pic as it would only show a lump in the bed!!

Hen is only allowed on the bed when I'm poorly - he makes a fab nurse:) No pics though, cos when I'm poorly I don't normally feel much like David Bailey:D

He is great camping, after the first time at MurphysMinders he has learned that waking me up at 5.30am is really not acceptable - but every so often throughout the night I just get a whiskery brush on my face as he checks up on me, then he goes back to bed:D
