For those of you who's horses live out

Hay off the floor..........for 22 horses! Just put lots of piles out and they never waste anything, wet or dry.

I bring mine out for feeding but there is no hard standing so it's still muddy. Monty tips his bucket over but still manages to eat ever scrap so i wouldn't worry about him tipping it over too much.

We have a herd of 7 that are always out. We feed haylage from old tractor tyres that we can move around the field if an area gets too trashed. Have been thinking of using a round cattle feeder this year, but would involve borrowing the local farmer plus tractor and spike........

Only feed the ridden ones, so they get fed in the yard from buckets in tyres.

Hay on the floor (on the driest, most sheltered bit, but I rotate, to avoid poaching). Feed is in the largest bucket possible for Henry (he's a tipper). Chloe is better behaved, but if they do tip it out, I just call them rude names and leave them to it!
