..................... that bought their own horsebox and had it converted themselves what make/model of box/van etc.. did you choose and why.... What essentials did you choose to include inside and PICS please!!! ( am talking 6 tonne and less please..... )

We bought an ex John Lewis & had it converted by a firm in our village. We don't stay away at shows & only travel one horse, so didn't bother with a Luton & just had an aerofoil put on the cab. Didn't bother with a cut through, had a tack locker put between the front wheels & the groom's door so it didn't eat into the horse area. Had a bench & 3 kitchen cupboards in the living & a 'wardrobe' type cupboard that could have been a shower & could be a toilet if we get around to getting one. Back was partitioned for 3.

I think it's plated to somewhere between 7 and 7.5 tons so might be a bit heavier than you were after.

Wow thats lovely.... If only i could afford one like that.... the thing is if i could i would have to get more little ones to fill it!!!
