It went ok on friday

Well, I went in with her and to be honest it was pointless, she just climbed onto my shoulder and clung there (lots of scratches)

As soon as she saw them coming with the little muzzle she wet herself on my jeans

she obviously remembered that from last time

But I went out of the room and they managed to do it, so off she went into a kennel for sleep time

Mum picked her up later on friday and she has been recovering over the weekend with lots of cuddles from her relieved mummy

Thank you everyone who wished her well

My JRT bitch was spayed about 18 months ago, and on Thursday she was up in the vets for her annual jab and got the same vet who did the spaying. As soon as she saw the needle for the vac she started to scream, and continued full blast until the injection was over and the vet had stepped away from her again.

This particular vet is lovely really she is, but I think I'll be getting one of the others to do the vac next year.

Poor little P must have had a flashback when she saw this vet coming towards her, as she was vaccinated by a male vet last summer without making a sound.

Hope your little one is feeling better soon - its all over and thats the main thing.

Poor little love. Thank goodness it is all over, and hopefully she will be able to put it behind her with a little time and some less upsetting vet visits.

Thank goodness that's over! Maybe you could think about getting her used to the vets in time by popping in when she's well, work up from parking up then leving to popping in and putting her on the scales then leaving again so she doesn't always associate the vets with big needles and thermometers up the bot...?

Also, my vets are always well supplied with gravy bones which I think the RCVS should make a professional requirement

Yes we are probably going to take her up there (obviously wait a while!) and just sit in the waiting room then go again etc , although really not sure if that will make a difference....
Thanks everyone, she is feeling lots better
