If you can remember i was asking silly questions like what colour shirt and tie should i wear?, how do i get my pony white? how do i get his feather clean? what bit? !!!!

Well it was Mickey's first ever show on sunday... this one being all inhand so a perfect starting point -
he was reasonably well behaved, at least he didnt pull away from me which was what i was expecting...

and we came home with rosettes!!! We did 7 classes in total and got 4 placings and a special.
2nd in Open Cobs, 2nd in Piebald and Skewbald, 4th in Novice Horse/Pony, 6th in Open Male, Special in the driving Type...

Had lots of nice comments about his paces, that 'his time will come' and ' a lovely pony who has come on so well during the day - keep up the good work'!

Bit disappointed we were put last in the condition class - but hey over all really pleased!

So an extra special thanks to Theresa_F who has given me so many useful tips, including the dog choke chain, which worked a treat !!

Well done, I am so pleased for you. I dont want to be a wet blanket but just a word of warning though, just think about how many classes you do. If your boy is bright he may well get bored with all those classes and it would be a perfect excuse to have a bit of a play up. Better to do a few classes and have a really successful day both in terms of behaviour and success!!

Thanks pinkweasel - he had a good break between classes, and he did get a bit bored, but only when waiting to do the classes, when he was going round he was fine - had a whale of a time! Probably the only show we'll go to this year anyway- as i have to ask friends for a lift! x

Oh, that's OK then. It's a bore not having any transport isn't it? Before I had my trailer I had to cadge lifts but lovely when you manage it!

Hey well done gorgeous pics! He's a lovely looking lad!

You must have been knackered - I'd find 3 classes a chore, let alone 7
