is this stuff really worth the money? Am looking for something for my Sec D good dooer.... also, does anyone know if you can get it on ebay?

There are plenty of balancers, is there a particular one you are thinking about?

I've spoken to Spillers recently about my 16yo mare's diet and they sent me samples of their lite and senior balancer. :)

You can only buy it from them direct.

It is good in that it has high quality ingredients and doesn't contain any fillers or unnecessary stuff but the slight downside of not having any sugar or flavourings is it can take a while for some horses to get used to the taste.

I use the straight minerals from the same place but I had the hay analysed.

ah ok, thanks

I've ordered some recently, just waiting to arrive, direct from Forage Plus. Their summer and winter balances are made up based on averages of the hay analysis samples, so not including minerals where typcially horses in the UK get loads of and more of the stuff we are deficient of.

My plan is to make little treat balls with it with aloe Vera or something as don't really want to be giving bucket feed. Unsure whether I can get it appealing enough to be eaten with some sort of natural goo to make balls.. We shall see.

Lots of different balancers and some will be more sucessful than others depending on the make up of vits and minerals your horse already gets from what he eats. Progressive Earth on eBay sell pro-hoof and Pro Balance which are popular.

Best wishes
Hannah
