After a difficult drive home in pouring rain in the dark,I finaly decided to do somthing about my old cargo,s headlights. The problem with the Cargo (and frankly anything carrying the Ford logo)is that the wiring is far too thin for the job.Its called "voltage drop" .When a Cargo is running, the battery is at 14 volts but you would be lucky to get more than 10.5 volts at the bulbs.Bigger bulbs actualy give even less light in these circumstances.Well so much for the theory bit!. I set about the wiring today with cables and fuses and relays.Waited till dark and took her for a test run . I know all the theory and expected the lights to be a lot better. I was absolutely amazed at the results. The standard bulbs just lit everything up like day.Better still, because the grotty ford wiring was nolonger carrying the load from the headlights, every other light workeed better, especialy the rear lights.I was itching for someone to flash me so that I could use my new "starwars main beam back at them
