Hello, please could you give me your opinions or experience of small ford iveco lorries?

Dad needs something to hobby farm with so too move just a few sheep and maybe some pigs and I would like my own transport for my gelding. Saw one of these today for just over 1k with 12months mot looked fairly structurally sound but is old so would like to give it a thorough look over. I know they look fairly old and tired but the inside of this own seemed well kitted and is apparently a good runner. Don't have a picture of this lorry in particular but I'd say it's fairly like this http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/1999-isuzu-horsebox-75-tonne/1004827782

Any replies would be great!

What sort of truck is it, size etc? I have a 6t iveco daily box, but the one you're looking at could be the iveco 7.5? Anyway, my little box is ace, old but good and mechanically sound. I love it, and it works out cheaper to run than my 4x4 and trailer.

Dad is a HGV mechanic and hates working on IVCOs there is a nick name for them I Vribrate Everything Comes Off :D

make sure you get it looked at from top to tail by a HGV mechanic who knows how to service lorries. Also agree on the rust, they ate known to rust more.

My dad is a Daf fan.

I have a small, older Iveco 7.5, second the rust thing, but it's a great wee box and hauls my three small horses in comfort.

I looked at an iveco before settling with my MAN. My mechanic advised against purely as sourcing parts for the older ones can be a ****** and more costly.
