Ford Ranger XLT Thunder - towing capacity?

Hi. There is a small possibility that I may be able to swap my company car to a Ford Ranger which would mean I could sell my own 4WD and save money..

However I'm struggling to check what the towing capacity is, I believe it's a XLT Thunder model, 2005, 2.5 diesel. Any ideas what it can comfortably tow before I ask my boss lol

I have a Ford Ranger towing capacity is 3 tonn, same engine size etc.

One of my very good friends has a ford ranger (2011). we recently went out jumping, we towed my ifor williams 510- the big one that weighs 1000kg unladen, along with my 550kg TB and her 400kg horse. And all of us and our kit!
it pulled fine with no problems what so ever! Hope that helps!

I did a google search and all came up at 3000 kgs towing capacity

Needs a B+E licence for horse trailer towing
