I went to lunge my mare this morning and noticed she didnt look right onone of her front legs in walk, called my friend over who said to trot her and she is deffinetly lame, about 2/10.
Yesterday morningwhen I put her out a pheasant flew out in front of us, she pulled away and went charging down the grass path to the fields. When I got to her the lead rope was wrapped around her pastern about two or three times.
Could this be the cause?
Ive turned her out cause she gets stressed when in alone and starts box walking, weaving and tries to jump out.

Keep her in or do restricted turnout. If she has slightly damaged tendon you will make it worse if she messes around on damaged leg.My vet described tendon as piece of rope small fraying can become big tear without right care.Cold hose and call vet in my opinion.

Check her over thoroughly for any heat, swelling, lumps or bumps or cuts. Keep her in & if no improvement over next day or so or if gets worse call vet.

keep in and get a vet out. My boy did his left fore high suspensory - no heat, swelling, marks etc but was 2/10 -3/10 lame, you just can't be sure. Hope she has just tweaked something and is right as rain tongiht though:-)

Myself and YO have checked her over and cant find any swelling, heat or cuts etc.
I cant really keep her in as like I said she gets stressy and tries to jump out if she's the only horse in, where as if shes out she will just steadily moach around.
