PLLLEEEEEEAAAAAAASSSSSSSSEEEEEE! everyone pray that it's not as bad as it was when it comes!

We are off to our friends farm (livery & training establishment) on Friday after work, PLANNING to take my mare, where she will live it up in the 'Hilton' so to speak until Sunday! :D

Me, OH and our mates are zipping down to Olympia for the Saturday matinee then scooting home for takeaway and laughs at the farm in the evening!

My mare will then be clipped Sunday morning (friend MUCH better than me!) then we are all gonna play with the horses Sunday once the clipping is done! They teach western (top show people both in-hand and ridden) and I wanna see if I can hang on whilst trying barrel racing! Eeeeeeeeeeeek!

So PLEASE everyone pray that it doesn't get as bad as it was so we can all DO STUFF!!!!

were still unable to ride from the load that started at the end of november :-(

Ive seriously had enough now and my horses are going demented (as am I!!)
 
saw that! weather warnings for us thurs and fri. it still is a few days off though so may be ok.
Its so rubbish tho cos before i quite liked the snow as some exams got cancelled at uni but just finished for christmas hols and was looking forward to riding my mare and doing loads of hours at work to make up for the ones I missed cos of snow :(

Though is it werid of me to get quite excited of snow just because its funny to see the havoc it causes everywhere :P
 
*Fingers crossed for you DS* Sounds like you'll have a fab time weather dependent.

On a positive note, I managed to get pony out to beach yesterday where mad pony was playing in water and it was freezing (she likes to kick it up) Brrrr.
 
The forecast is not good :(

We haven't been able to ride for 3 weeks now, it started to thaw middle of last week but soon halted when the temps dropped. Its now more dangerous than before and we are forecast lower temperatures and more snow!!!

We've all pretty much written off any idea of riding till the new year now :(

I can't even get 2 of mine out of their paddock, the track to the barn is so dangerous its just not worth the risk, has been the same for over 2 weeks now.
The one I have stabled hasn't been turned out since Thursday, with the thaw came a whole new problem, the water that settled re froze and its not a total skating rink around our barn.

But good luck, I hope u have fun and the weather hold out - I'm jealous u have the chance :D

I'm up in Scotland so lots more of this to come I think, Grrrrrr x

If we DO get some, my Shetland is gonna get a quick-breaking in to pull my sledge, and be put to good use, I tell ya!

At least I can get to Tescos and get me Xmas food shopping with him towing the sledge if it DOES get bad again!

On a serious note.....

I did question why I even live here this morning ( with a few choice swear words added in) It was really fun when I realized my hose was somewhere on 2 acres buried under feet of snow and I had to fill my tank with buckets. Winter stinks and I want to spend my winters in New Mexico

I want some of them large icicles you have ! :D Little C thought it was fun breaking the inch long ones off the front of the jeep, I showed him the pic you have on facebook and told it was bigger than him, he was having none of it :D

Speaking of New Mexico, hoping to go visit the sister in law next year, they live near Roswell :)


Snow forecast for n.ireland on thursday and all day friday .
