Has anyone recently found any foreign bodies in their horses feed? I'm not sure if I am allowed to mention the name but its a dried grass with mainly white and a little green packaging and has prevoiusly been of a really good quality.
The other night I found two little balls of pink bailing twine in the bag. About twice the size of a malteser. Was worried as this could have presented a choking hazard. Rather stupidly I've thrown the balls away but I guess I should have rung up the feed manufacturer to complain and sent them to them for them to analyse and try and find out whereabouts in their manufacturing line it got into the packaging.
Just thought I'd warn others who feed this grass to be on the look out for foreign bodies as I doubt the stomach acid of a horse would be enought to break up a small ball of bailing twine.
