Can anyone help? What "foreign breeds" are eligible to enter these classes? I was of the understanding that it was the likes of your lustianos, haflingers, Lippizaners, Icelandic horses, etc (ie pure breds) rather than the "warmblood" horses (ie Dutch, Belgium, etc)..

Many thanks!

I would say the breeds you have mentioned, and arabian types, probably western but the bigger shows tend to have seperate sections. I think it depends on the warmblood? If it was a purebred, or imported then I dont see why not..although I would say the more 'rare' breeds would tend to get placed as you dont see many hence the foreign breeds class.

My understanding of these classes (there are not enough around!) is that any breed that is not native to the UK can enter. So that includes fjords, haffies, KWPN, fresian, arab etc. I suppose that it is maybe a class for those of us with horses that cannot enter much else.
