Hi guys. I have shown Welsh at numerous levels but I now have a gorgeous friesian who I am looking to do a bit of everything on. I am aware I can enter both in hand and ridden foreign breeds classes but what tack and attire do we both need to wear?
Also I am aware that there are specialist fhagbi shows but I would like to one day go to equifest so looking for something that could lead us here. I understand riding horse class is mostly
TB type but is RIDDEN (no italics on tables hence capitals) horse class suitable for any ridden horse and would we be able to enter this class instead of riding horse and again what do we wear ie plain tack ribbon browband etc etc. Would be great to hear from someone who has done these classes with their foreign breed. We don't want to enter the ring looking a complete pair of muppets even if we are groomed to within an inch of our lives hehe also can we enter plaited as my mare lost half her mane thanks to a neck rug so have long at the front and only 4 inches at the lower half but I can get it in a carriage plait as getting quite skilled with these now. Look forward to hearing from you soon.
