Hello

I have a cob x ISH mare.
She has a rather long forelock, which used to actually be alot longer but I trimmed it up a little bit.
Someone said I should cut it just above her eyes, to make her look 'smarter' and so she can see (although I do plait it).
What does everyone think?
Should I cut it or should I leave it?
I'd really like to trim it up but I am scared she might look silly with a short forelock and long mane?

Aw, she's lovely! I wouldn't cut but maybe pull to thin a little.

I just pulled my lad's mane today, have been leaving it and leaving it in the hope that it might grow lovely and thick and long but his mane is rubbish and I just couldn't stand him looking so scruffy any longer so out came the comb..!!

Hehe thanks thats what I was worried about; her looking rather weird with a long mane and short forelock :)
I think i'll just keep it long and neat, and thin it out abit.. I really don't think she'd let me pull it but I might thin it out with scissors and see how that looks.
Thanks guys :)

I would either leave as it is, or pull mane and trim the forelock. I like mine all trimmed up so I would have a smart pulled mane and cut the forelock :)
