Does anyone know if you are allowed to hack in the forest of dean on the cyclepaths etc?
I was thinking of starting at cannop ponds or the cycle centre and going around some of the cycle trail ... but I can't seem to find any info on whether this is allowed?
Anyone with any experience??

There is currently a project being undertaken in the Forest of Dean by a local bridleway group to create links to all the available routes and increase and improve the riding.
Look up the Trails Trust website and there should be some information as they have provided the background knowledge about the method of creating new bridlepaths.
 
I hack out in the FOD and the way I understand it it that horses are allowed on 'hard tracks' and the are to give way the all other users.

Personally I'd not go to Cannop as will be busy with bikers etc and maybe go to a less touristy spot.
