Thinking of trying this for both my horse and my dog.

http://www.aloeveraforhorses.com/products.htm

My horse has scurfy skin, but she is also on a joint supplement and digestive supplement, so I was thinking this might combine the three benefits. Also, my dog, who is nearly 7, is just beginning to show slight signs of slowing down and I want to protect her joints.

My main concern is how palatable this product is, as I have wasted money before on supplements that my horse won't eat (my dog will trough most things!).

Has anyone used this, or anything similar? Product report please

It is well worth a try ...I had amazing results with a horse with arthrtis.

I also had a mare have an accident when I sent her to stud.
She completly sliced her whole knee to the bone... After she was operated on and stiched up she kept popping the stiches so as a last resort we tried Forever Aloe Vera gel on a bandage ...we had amazing results almost straight away !!
Can really recommend them.

The specialist vet we went to see for my horses allergy (with really bad skin) recommended giving her this, and apparently they recommend it for horses recovering from virus's to. My horse has fixed, although has also been having feedmark equidermis plus and has been turned out 24/7, so not sure what has worked but dont want to risk her getting as bad as she was again, so wont be taking her off anything. however, at almost £20 a bottle, and her having to have 150ml/day one bottle lasts just under a week, which is £80 a month, or almost £1000 a year! but worth it is it actually works i guess! wish i just hadnt worked that out!

my horse was given this when he was recovering from an infection by a vet. Not sure what it did but he liked the taste! you do have to store it in a fridge by the way.

I swear by aloe for me, my horses and dogs. It is great for healing and soothing and helps with healing post surgery, injuty etc works really well for allergies on skin and irritated guts (including ulcers etc) Never had a problem with anything eating it - have just put it in with feed and they trough it up. I drink it myself and don't have a problem with it although some people say it tastes funny. You can get big bottles for equine use - look at www.aloequine.com - which you can just store in a cool place. I use the same bottles for horses and dogs - just decant some into a smaller bottle to have in the house.
