Bit of history. Rising 5 warmblood mare, working beautifully then suddenly started to nap. Called vet scanned hinds and found no problem. Vet suggested raising heel slightly with acrylic and heartbar. Call physio/chiro.
6 back treatments and she is going beautifully again and nearly in full work. Second set of special shoes on these are graduated heart bar but only slight piece down frog and not really touching frog much. Next shoes should be normal ones as now have more heel.
My problem is forging, she never did it before and didnt when shoes were first changed but does now. Had side clips on fronts this time but still happening. Do you think when she is back in normal shoes next month it will stop. Did dressage today and got nearly 70% but couldnt ask for her best trot as didnt want her to forge too much
