Help please. I have just changed to pellet bedding. How do you muck out and what tools do you use?
I have rubber matting and use a poo scoop and shaving fork. Are the pellet forks any better and if so which one.
Have to be careful what tools I use as don't want to damage rubber Matt's.

I have a regular shavings fork, although the tines are closer together than some I've seen, and the ends are rounded so the prongs don't dig into the matting. A friend of mine uses a poop scoop for all of hers but as my mare does elephant poos it just wouldn't cope - one poo is more than a poop scoop's worth!

Thanks, only just starting to bring in at night now so will see how I go.
Just wondered if it was worth getting a proper pellet fork.

I did try the aquamax one but it was very hard work! I used a normal shaving fork daily then used the fine tine one when I had time and energy because to be fair it did a fab job.
