my horse has really crappy feet at the moment... he is having remedial work on his feet but they just arnt growing and they are breaking and falling apart even though he wears shoes.. i wad hoping to take his shoes off this winter but he would be crippled for months if i did :(

he is fed - fast fibre, un-mollassed chaff, calm and condition and codlavine

but which is better? or is there something else i could try?

Ever thought maybe the shoes aren't helping? If I was u I would post pics off his feet and let the bare foot people on here take a look and some off them are very helpfull iv learnt a lot and so far iv got 2 bare foot and 3 with just fronts and work to take fronts off soon and iv had no problems so far, touch wood :)
I feed all mind a base off Allen and page L mix ( cereal free) with mirco linseed, naf general purpose supplement, brewers yeast, mag oz, pro feet and garlic. Oh and speedibeet.

i've had my boy on formula 4 feet for 9 months now, and the difference in his feet is amazing. He now holds shoes for 5 weeks, he'd lose them after a few days before :-/ my farrier is pleasantly suprised as he actually has to trim foot off now whereas before it was just a quick rasp! He still has typically flat tb feet but doesnt seem to get footy over rough ground so much any more. It's not cheap but it definitely seems to work.

Have you tried just using biotin, my farrier reccommended it for our TB with bad feet as apparently it the main ingredient in most hoof supplements. Horse has now been on it for about a year and its really helped him.

been using formula4feet for ages and has improved my horses feet , used to break up during dry weather, brilliant now and my farrier says her feet are really strong now...:D

Another vote for Formula4feet. It takes a while to get into the system but the results are amazing. Also improves their coat. People always comment how shiny mine look.
